Today, I am meditating, journaling, exfoliating and starting my detox diet to flush out the 15lbs I've gained since last year. G-R-O-S-S It's going to be a long road. Since no one really reads this (maybe Christie?), I'm going to use it to keep myself accountable.
I figure, by the time Stephen gets home, I'll have been 5 meals or so /2 workouts into the regimen and it might be easier to keep it up for a while. He is the ultimate enabler of pizza and cookie binging and I actually do a bit better when I'm by myself. Similarly, when I'm at work, I have a crew I eat lunch with and the Chipotle runs and homemade baked goods flow freely. It's more than a weight-loss goal for me, I just felt better when I was working out and sleeping and eating just fish & veg.
So, today, I'm doing a little yoga, cardio, reading, napping and I'm starting the detox:

Tomorrow I might get to do a coconut milk cocoa mousse
sweetened with a tbsp of brown rice syrup. I might dream of that all day at work.
The point of this, is that somehow I have to embrace the idea that food is for nourishing our bodies not for love or fulfillment or for something to do as an activity. This is the hardest part and where I always fail. Case in point: blogging about my meals for a half hour.
Okay, gonna go for a workout now!

Hey, I read it too!
Ha! The not pizza lunch! Love it! Let me know if the smoothie is any good.
I'm right there with you, Tam. When we get back to Orlando (best quote ever from you: "I want to live in June. June sounds great!"), I've got plans - big plans... Plans that hopefully won't flop. ;)
Trying to change - my attitude about food and the way I eat it, too,
