Welp, I just got a permanent contract at the newspaper making pretty decent money about 2-3 days a week freelancing. It pays enough for me to supplement our income and take care of my student loans. I'm hoping it will be pleasant enough...because a gig like this will really help me carve time out for art making and...living. Feeling pretty hopeful!
Update: And possibly teaching in the Spring! *crossing fingers*

Yay! Congrats, friend! :) A job where you could earn money and still have "a room of one's own" - the time and space anyway! - to create as God has called you to will be amazing! Keep us posted. :)
