Inauguration

October 12, 2010: In short, I'm starting this blog over.

Sometimes you have to let go of everything before you can see a new horizon line.  I deleted my blog to give birth to something new. It's a symbol of letting go. So many little novas or tiny explosions have happened since I began this blog over 5 years and 117 entries ago:
  • I entered 30-hood.
  • I left my career as a designer to pursue my dream of living as an artist full-time.
  • I went through a bitter divorce after my husband of 14 years split.
  • My best friend moved to Nigeria to become a missionary.
  • My Dad died.
  • My Mom was diagnosed with cancer.
  • I lost some friends.
  • I met some new friends.
  • I gained some weight.
  • I lost some weight.
  • I started graduate school at MICA for lens-based media.
  • I got my first gray hair.
  • My spunky sister changed careers 7 times as a ticket agent, vegan cupcake baker, cocktail waitress, front desk associate, advertising intern, sandwich artist and sushi server.
  • I left the East Coast. I'm currently floating in California until I find something permanent.
  • I met this amazing guy. I think I might be in love.
  • Oh...and I adopted a fish named Electra. She's beautiful and strong and wild.
I am a photographer...no, image-maker. I care about art. I care about food. I care about caring. And I like to write about it. It seemed only fitting to start fresh and like St. Iggy said, "Set the world on fire."
